Professor Qile He
Qile He, PhD, also known as Horace, is Professor of Strategy and Performance Management at the University of Derby, UK and the Deputy Chair of the Colleague Research Committee. He was previously the Associate Head of School for Research of the School of Strategy and Leadership at Coventry University, UK, successfully led the school research portfolio. His research expertise and interests are in the area of interfirm alliances and partnerships, innovation strategies and processes of organizations, as well as sustainable and responsible business, and inter-organizational knowledge transfer. He has published over 80 papers in refereed journals, books, and leading international conference proceedings. Including prestigious international journals, such as British Journal of Management, International Journal of Production Economics, International Journal of Production Research, Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, Production Planning & Control, He has supervised multiple PhD candidates to completion.
He is an elected council member of the British Academy of Management. He is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Chartered Member of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. He is a reviewing expert several grant streams including European Commission Horizon2020 projects. He serves in the editorial board of few international journals. Including the prestigious International Journal of Operations and Production Management (CABS 4*).
The unprecedented Covid-19 crisis is testing inter-firm collaborations at a new level. There are huge pressures on managing and sustaining these ongoing collaborations, while also offering opportunities for new emerging collaborations models thanks to the diffusion of digital transformation around the world. As social, humanitarian, and political forces are increasingly factoring into the inter-firm relationship building of businesses, firms will need to be looking into building better business transferability and seeking new alternative collaboration models. Professor Qile He (Horace), Professor of Strategy and Performance Management at the University of Derby, United Kingdom, will share his reflections and projections about changes in inter-firm relationship management during and after the pandemic at this online event. The talk will bring into new insights into potential future research directions in the area.
